Details of auditions for professional musical theatre productions can be found in many places, sometimes where you least expect them. Keep your eyes open and ear to the ground, sharing information with your friends and colleagues and asking at theatres that are local or near to you (most will have websites that may give details of their casting requirements and policies, or at least the contact details of the person responsible).

For all you social media addicts, be sure to follow your favourite theatres, producers and companies, shows, directors, musical directors, choreographers and casting directors on Twitter and Facebook. They may well post or tweet casting news and audition information from time to time. You can also network with other performers and enthusiasts via Facebook groups. Our favourites are British Actors Network and Casting Directors for Actors but don't forget to search through the many groups that are devoted to musical theatre and join those you think might be useful.
